Assistance with paying rent

A patient’s wife is dependent on her ailing husbands’ income and she had been his primary caregiver through his long illness. Upon his passing the wife is very much aware that her life has changed drastically and she must move on to the next chapter in her life without him. She is focused on getting some work for herself since she no longer will have her husbands’ income to support her. She will turn 62 in a few short months and has already been in touch with social security and gets some relief knowing she will at least have at some point this income, but knows she must find work to help supplement this income. Until then she needs financial support. Her social worker contacted the Foundation, securing the money for her rental expense.
