What are the donations used for outside of the special needs of hospice patients and their families?

The Foundation’s focus is to make a difference in the lives of hospice patients and their families by making financial grants on their behalf to fund everyday expenses/special needs fundamentally important to their comfort and peace of mind. These needs are not covered under the Medicare benefit or private insurance.  We receive requests from hospices all over the country and make every effort to provide support nationwide to them.

How can I make a donation?

The Foundation is a qualified public charitable organization. All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible as provided by law. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a welcome difference in the life of a hospice patient and his/her family. You can make a donation online or by mail.

By mail, please make your check payable to the:

Will my donation stay within the local community?

Because the Foundation is well recognized for its response to hospice programs across the country, our support is provided to hospice patients in need of our services across the country.  However, if your donation is intended for a specific area/your local community, please let us know and we will make every effort to honor your request.

Do you accept gifts of any kind?

The Foundation has been the recipient of planned gifts such as: bequests, appreciated assets such as securities or real estate, insurance beneficiary designations, charitable trusts. We always encourage you to consult your attorney or financial advisor for guidance regarding the best form for your gift.

Is the family notified of the donation made in their loved ones’ name?

Yes, the comments section of the donation form provides enough space for this information.  We will send the family a letter acknowledging that you have made a gift in memory of their loved one. The amount of your donation is not provided to the family. These letters are sent weekly.
